Dice!

One interesting thing about alchemy that I'm sure a lot of people are going to latch onto is the fact that Plato's proposed shapes for the atoms of his classical elements map to common polyhedral dice. I'm taking a literal one-to-one mapping of this relationship: anything involving Fire is going to roll all d4s, for instance. 

(Those who know my work know that I tend to use card-driven mechanics heavily in my games: don't worry! There's still a lot of card-based goodness shaping up in this design. The four suits already map well to the four elements as well, and I'm going to use that too.)
